ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. The above picture is from our special luncheon of appreciation and thanks to our Board of Management. After 5 years of dedication, hard work and faith, they will be finished on October 31, with the Corporation taking over on November 1.

Please remember to turn your clocks back this weekend! Saturday night going into Sunday the time will fall back one hour. 

2. The ACW has lots of meals for sale. There are many meat pies, soups, lasagna and shepherds pie. If you're interested in purchasing any meals, please leave your contact information with the office or contact Lana to arrange payment and pick up.

3. With Halloween almost here, please consider donating any left over candy (or purchase a bag after Halloween when they're reduced and donate it.). We will be filling goodie bags for the community again this year and your left over candy would go a long way in helping someone have a little treat at Christmas. See Shelley for more details or drop off at the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9:30am-2:30pm

4. Our Remembrance Sunday service is on November 8th at 10am. This year's service will honor veterans and those who sacrificed their lives in two great wars and other conflicts and peacekeeping operations that Canada has participated in. This year will have a cascade of poppies on display at the front of the church thanks to parishioners who have knit, crocheted and stitched the display. In addition to this, we are asking parishioners and guests if they would like to participate in a tribute to their family members who are/were veterans. We would ask that you bring in memorabilia (medals, shadow boxes, books, etc.) about your family members who served in the military and put them on display in the Parish Hall where fellow parishioners can view them during coffee hour after church. Tables will be laid out prior to the service for the displays to be placed on.

5.  With the weather turning colder, our friends at Compassionate Care Without Barriers are asking for donations of warm winterwear to help our friends and neighbors in the community who are without. Donations of coats, boots, snowpants, hats, mittens, scarves, jogging pants, leggings, and warm socks will be distributed on Friday, October 30th from 9:30am-3:30pm. Donations can be dropped off on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from (;30am-3:30pm through the Collier St entrance. 

6. NEW SOCIAL CRAFTING GROUP: Thursdays With Anna (ask Monica C for the story behind the name :) Beginning this upcoming Thursday, October 29th at 10am at the home of Roger & Monica Cox (1401 Anne St N, Minesing) and then monthly on the last Thursday of the month. The main aim this month is to crochet or knit poppies for display for the Remembrance Day service. If you can't knit or crochet bring any craft you would like to do or just come and socialize! Soup will be provided for lunch.

7.     Server Training/Refresher Course is coming up on Sunday, November 15th after the service for anyone interested in becoming a Server or for anyone who is but need a refresher in their role.

This gravestone is in Barrie Union Cemetery. It marks the graves that were transferred from the Berczy Street Trinity Church graveyard in 1947.
